We’re Looking for Complex Care Support Workers

Who

Working within our Complex Care division as a Support Worker, you’ll be responsible for the care and wellbeing of a young woman with cerebral palsy and scoliosis. With a JEJ tube, tracheostomy and colostomy, she requires someone with experience in these areas. She also has an Aire-Cuf and subglottic port for which training will be provided. A proud Chelsea fan, she watches the football team’s matches and loves Disney films and soundtracks – she also enjoys being outside on her tricycle. She has regular physio sessions and uses a frame for short walks, and has a wheelchair for longer distances. This role requires someone who copes well under pressure and copes well in emergency situations.

With opportunities to specialise in various conditions, you’ll be provided with direct, ongoing support from our Nurse Managers and coordination team.

When

  • Days and nights
  • 8-hour shifts (Days) on-call
  • 12-hour shifts (Nights) on-call

You’ll need

  • To enjoy providing care to people with complex health conditions
  • Experience in managing tracheostomies
  • To cover shifts as part of our contingency plan
