Moments that Matter

A family-run business, Superior Healthcare is committed to making valuable contributions to the local community and beyond. With COVID-19 putting a stop to many of our planned efforts this year, we decided to round up our previous activities and give our team the opportunity to make more differences going forward.

When in Rome 

In addition to some DIY in the form of painting and decorating for various charities, Superior Healthcare has celebrated the week of Wimbledon with local care homes. How? By delivering fresh strawberries to their doors and treating staff and residents to a different taste of tennis.

Travelling a little further back in time (and across Europe), some of our team members hit the road in three £200 vehicles and made their way to Rome – and raised £3,000 for Martha Trust in the process. Luckily, the 1,113-mile trip was met with just a few bumps in the road, and we welcomed a tired but happy team back to the office afterwards.

Our Next Mission

In the hope of returning to some normality this year, we’ve started thinking about what we can do as a company to raise awareness about causes in the community. Having previously partnered with the brain injury association Headway, we intend to sponsor their CBT counselling service over this coming year. Providing sought-after new services by way of virtual day centres, a client buddy system and 1-2-1 phone calls, Headway was quick to set up alternative means of communication for their clients when the UK entered the first lockdown, and the CBT counselling was hugely successful. The outcome was life-changing with client feedback illustrating just how much of a difference the service had made, as it provided specialist mental health advice and support tailored to those with brain injury.
