Earlier this year, Superior Healthcare introduced our core values. We decided on three aspects that not only define the company as a whole, but who we are as individuals.
Passion for Quality
Having received care for a family member at home, the founders of Superior Healthcare came to realise the significance of excellent care and the genuine, caring nature of the professionals delivering it. Therefore, a passion for quality is one of the most important traits our team members have.
Superior Healthcare came into existence as a family business, and it remains one to this day – however, the family aspect has grown. We like to think of ourselves as an extended family, whether we’re in the office, out in the field, or working in client’s homes.
Learning and development is a major part of Superior Healthcare. We want to encourage everyone who works with us to grow and thrive in their role, which is why we offer an array of training events and workshops to our staff. Ultimately, we want to create opportunities for our community to really take ownership of what they do.
“I realised we already have a really great team. This wasn’t about finding what we wanted to be – but rather looking at the values that were already intrinsically there in the business and within the people who make up our team.” – Stewart Thorp, CEO
We asked our staff to complete a Company Values survey to help us see the company through their eyes and understand what working for Superior Healthcare is like for them.
Well, we have good news – the results are in! Ultimately, Superior Healthcare staff are happy at work – which is great! However, we noticed the need for further communication, and we’re working to improve this in every way we can.
Additionally, we’ve introduced Guaranteed Hour contracts to care staff who work within both Agency and Complex Care. These contracts should provide a more stable routine when it comes to shifts.
Finally, we are pleased to see our training is proving to be a success amongst our staff. Therefore, we will be introducing more opportunities to learn in-house.
