Join our dynamic complex care team as a Field Care Supervisor in Mid Kent!

This role is perfect for you if you’re a Senior or Care Assistant with clinical experience looking to advance your career in healthcare, with a paid Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and numerous progression opportunities.

The salary is £31,500 per annum based on a 37.5-hour work week, with a company car provided and opportunities to work overtime to increase your earnings.

The Role:
As a Field Care Supervisor, you’ll work with the Nurse Manager who will support you to oversee the care of a small caseload of clients with diverse complex care needs, who require interventions like ventilation, gastrostomy, and bowel management.

Your responsibilities will include inducting Care Assistants and Support Workers into their care packages, ensuring they possess the necessary clinical skills and receive relevant training to meet clients’ needs.

You will work 37.5 hours per week, with a schedule that includes clinical shifts of varying lengths (including one full weekend every six weeks) and supervisory duties for the remaining hours, primarily Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required.

Ultimately, your role as a Field Care Supervisor aims to guarantee that clients receive exceptional service from a well-trained, enthusiastic and compassionate team.

Responsibilities
Requirements
  • Work with the Nurse Manager to setup new care packages
  • Maintain regular shifts within your client caseload
  • Uphold familiarity with each client’s requirements, providing consistent and personalised care per their care plan
  • Work with the Nurse Manager to review and update clients’ care plans
  • Identify and communicate upcoming staffing gaps, engage in recruitment, and introduce new hires to clients
  • Mentor support workers, conduct observations and identify training needs
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of care and supervisory activities
  • Act in the best interest of clients
  • Monitor client satisfaction, escalate concerns, and produce monthly reports
  • Attend mandatory paid training, including achieving a QCF Level 3 within two years of employment
  • Hold a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care
  • You will be committed to attaining a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care within two years of joining (which will be funded by Superior Healthcare)
  • Previous experience working with people who have disabilities and complex health needs, for example, people with tracheostomies, ventilators (BiPAP/CPAP), gastrostomy tubes and bowel management care
