Join Our Team as a Complex Care Support Worker in Hailsham

We are looking for dedicated healthcare assistants and support workers to assist our client in living independently and safely in their home, just a short drive from Hailsham.

About the Role:

As a Care Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact in our client’s daily life, providing support with their Cerebral Palsy, Dystonia, seizure management, and PEG feeds.

We are committed to your success and will provide comprehensive, paid clinical training to ensure you feel confident and well-prepared to meet our client’s needs.

Our experienced team of Nurses and Field Care Supervisors will be there to offer ongoing support and guidance, helping you grow and thrive in your role.

Shift Pattern: 

We offer both full-time and part-time positions

  • Type: 2:1 Day Shifts
  • Hours: 07:30 – 18:30 Weekdays, 09:00 – 18:00 Weekends

If you have additional availability and are open to travelling to different locations, we have other clients in the local area that can be discussed with you.

We offer shifts Monday through Sunday, allowing you to choose your preferred days. These will form your fixed schedule.

Responsibilities
Requirements
  • Full personal care.
  • Medication administration, including emergency seizure medication (Buccal Midazolam).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Autism.
  • Assist the client with moving and handling, including use of a hoist.
  • Confident and clear communication with the client.
  • Administering suctioning in order to manage client's secretions.
  • Carefully understanding and following the client's care plan, as advised by the Nurse Manager.
  • Prioritising the client's wellbeing, including raising any safeguarding concerns.
  • Assist with social support, including driving the client in a mobility vehicle to a special education school.
  • At least 6 months experience in a UK care environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with Complex Care clients.
  • Full, clean UK driving license is essential.
