Superior Healthcare is urgently seeking experienced Children’s Support Workers in Folkestone who are looking for the flexibility and variety that agency work offers.

Are you an experienced Children’s Support Worker or Youth Worker, with a Diploma Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce?  Looking for flexible working hours?

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities.

This position requires a strong ability to communicate effectively and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in care, providing a nurturing environment, promoting structure and routine ,ensuring all children’s needs are met in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

We currently have an influx of shifts available in Folkestone and surrounding areas, offering competitive pay of £12.00-£14.50 per hour along with great company benefits.

Responsibilities
Requirements
  • Provide personal care and support to children, ensuring their needs are met in accordance with individual care plans.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, hygiene, and recreational activities
  • Communicate regularly with children to understand their needs and preferences
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made towards individual goals.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement effective care plans
  • Drive to various locations as required for outings or appointments.
  • Engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote their development
  • Experience working with children is essential; prior experience in childcare or similar roles
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children and team members.
  • Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • A valid driving licence.
  • Preferable Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People or equivalent
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with carers, children, families and colleagues.
