We are urgently recruiting Children’s Support Workers in Sittingbourne and the surrounding areas who are passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives.

Superior Healthcare is seeking several Children’s Residential Support Workers to work across high-quality Residential Homes.

Children’s Support Worker Role:

As a valued Children’s Support Worker, you will work as a positive role model, supporting young people to overcome the challenges or disadvantages they face and empowering them to build a brighter future.

In this role, you will provide a comfortable and safe environment, fostering positive and trusting relationships to ensure the children feel cared for and secure. You will also work with a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.

Your responsibilities will include offering guidance to help them succeed in education, training, and employment. You will also be involved in day-to-day activities such as cooking, cleaning, organising indoor and outdoor activities, and assisting with personal hygiene.

Working in Children’s Residential Homes involves implementing positive behaviour management strategies, including physical restraint when necessary, to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.

  • Provide a highly structured, stimulating and caring environment for young people who may display behaviour that challenges and high levels of distress.
  • To support the day-to-day activities: cooking, cleaning, organising indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Liaising effectively with families, colleagues and professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • To follow safeguarding policies to the highest standards.
  • To be a positive role model for young people and to support their success.
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent preferred.
  • UK manual driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Full right to work within the UK.
  • Professional experience related to residential child care.
  • To work in Sittingbourne and in surround towns when necessary.
