Join our dedicated team providing compassionate, one-to-one care for a child with complex health needs in their home.

We are seeking an empathetic Registered Nurse in Margate to provide dedicated, one-on-one care Term Time during school days. We have a vacancy for a part time nurse working 2-3 shifts per week. You’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for a child requiring specialised medical support.

Paediatric Nurse – Complex Care
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to support a child with complex medical needs in a home or community setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Hickman line care – aseptic technique for flushing, dressing changes, and infection monitoring

  • PEG and gastrostomy feeding – administering feeds and medications, maintaining site hygiene

  • Medication administration – accurate delivery via enteral route, monitoring effects

  • TPN management – connecting/disconnecting infusions using sterile technique, monitoring for complications

  • Ileostomy care – stoma site management, monitoring output and hydration

 

You will work closely with the child’s family and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, person-centred care while supporting emotional well-being and development.

Essential: NMC registration, knowledge of infection control, experience with enteral feeding, central lines, or TPN and experience in paediatric or complex care.

 

Available Shift Patterns:

  • Monday – Friday – 08:00 – 16:30

  • Provide 1-2-1 support to a child with Complex Care needs.
  • Work closely with the Nurse Manager Team to provide quality care to a paediatric client.
  • Commit to a regular working pattern and collaborate with Care Coordinators for effective care delivery.
  • Build rapport with clients and families, working within the family home to achieve individual goals.
  • Potential for growth and development into a supervisor or management role.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Commitment to 2 regular shifts per week.
  • Ability to fit seamlessly into the school setting.
  • UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
  • Compassion, confidence, and a gentle caring nature.
  • Experience in delivering care to complex clients, preferably in the community.
  • Clean and valid Registered Nurse pin with at least 1 year post-registration experience.
