What's the difference between Agency and Complex Care?

At Superior Healthcare, we go the extra mile to support and encourage our care professionals to progress into new roles that align with their lifestyle needs.

One of the ways we do this is through supporting our Agency team members to join our Complex Care team.

Many of our Agency team members initially join us wanting flexibility, perhaps transitioning from a more rigid role, or juggling personal commitments, like family responsibilities. Others may lack the experience initially required for Complex Care.

Often, our Agency employees’ circumstances change. When they do, we are here. By offering paid comprehensive training, we can support Agency employees who require fixed and full-time rotas, to become Complex Care Healthcare Assistants.

Unlike our Agency team, in Complex Care you build a rapport with one or a small number of clients within your local town. Working as part of a small care and nursing team, to support children, young people, or adults with ongoing and/or life-limiting conditions.

Benefits of transitioning to Complex Care

Increased Pay Rates

Our Complex Care team receive higher pay rates, ranging from £12.10 – £15.97 per hour, and £18.15 – £26.26 for bank holiday work.

Complex Care Training

Your initial training is a three-day induction, offering you a chance to enhance and refresh your skills and meet other Support Workers, Healthcare Assistants and Registered Nurses. If a client’s needs mean that you require extra skills, like tracheostomy, airway management or enteral feeding, we will provide paid, specialist training to ensure that you can confidently support your clients while developing your own skills – opening up more placement opportunities for you.
