This course offers a comprehensive understanding of epilepsy, covering various types of seizures, their causes and triggers, and effective seizure management. You will gain practical skills in administering rescue medications, such as Buccal Midazolam (and Rectal Diazepam, if necessary), through scenario-based training that builds your confidence.

Additionally, the training emphasizes supporting the emotional well-being of individuals with epilepsy. We focus on equipping you with the skills needed to provide high-quality care that improves the lives of children, young people, and adults living with epilepsy

Our epilepsy training is designed for social service providers, care services, schools, nurseries, nursing homes, private hospitals, residential homes, hospices, and more.

We also deliver training to individuals, including nurse managers, registered nurses, paramedics, senior carers, healthcare assistants, and support workers, who wish to enhance their epilepsy care skills and clinical knowledge.

This CPD-accredited epilepsy training can also be used to meet nurse revalidation requirements.

All our care and nursing teams receive paid Epilepsy with Rescue Medication Training upon joining and annually as part of their refresher training.

Where can we provide training?

We conduct training sessions in Kent, Essex, Hampshire, Sussex, and Gloucestershire.

Each location accommodates a maximum of 13 delegates. For larger groups, we can provide multiple trainers on the same day or organise additional training days.

Additionally, we often offer on-site training at healthcare providers’ premises. If your service can provide a suitable training space, we are ready to bring our expertise to you!
