For the first 21 years of her life, Jo lived at home with her family, supported closely by her parents, Flo and Rod. As Jo’s needs evolved, her family sought a new living arrangement that would provide the same level of personalised care while offering her greater independence and long-term security.

Unable to find a suitable supported living option, Flo and Rod took the initiative to create one themselves — a specialist, shared home environment that would meet Jo’s clinical needs while allowing her to live alongside others with similar levels of complexity.
