What is adult complex care?
Superior Healthcare provides adult complex care that involves handpicking experienced healthcare assistants, support workers, and registered nurses, to support people living with ongoing and/or life-limiting conditions to live in their own homes.
We create sustainable complex care packages upon that clients and their families can rely on 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
How can we help?
Superior Healthcare provides an adult complex care service that ranges from 40 hours of care a week to live-in care, and 24-hour nursing care. We also offer care to young people assisting their transition to adulthood. Our types of care include:
- Day or night care
- 24-hour care
- Student care
- Live-in care
How do we arrange adult complex care?
When commissioning Superior Healthcare, we appoint a Nurse Manager with the skills and experience to oversee the care package.
Collaborating with the client, family, and professional partners, we create a care package centred on the client’s clinical needs, desires, and goals.
In our experience, these collaborative efforts result in a higher level of person-centred care, and positive outcomes for the person receiving care.
We track changes in the client’s health, personal goals, and lifestyle, adapting the care to meet their evolving needs and ensuring the client’s wishes remain central.

What complex care needs do we support?
Superior Healthcare support adults and young people who live with ongoing and potentially unpredictable conditions, including:
Clinical support we provide
We train our care and nursing team to support adults with tracheostomies, ventilators (BiPAP/CPAP), and suction and cough assist devices.
Our teams are also equipped to manage gastrostomy and jejunostomy tubes, seizure management, medication needs, full moving and handling, personal care (including manual evacuation), and positive behaviour support.
What makes us different?
Since our inception, we have understood what it takes to provide exceptional care. For us, it’s personal.
Specialist training
We prepare our care and nursing team with rigorous training. Each member completes a five-day, intensive programme with practical workshops, covering the Care Certificate and the essential clinical skills for managing complex needs.
After this initial training, we provide client-specific support to equip our teams with the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional care.
Contingency
Contingency is key with home care.
Our branch structure of team leaders, field care supervisors and nurse managers in all areas we cover, means that we have a trained backup team who are able to work with our clients at short notice.
Our industry-leading support structure ensures that clients are always safe and that their wishes are followed even if the regular team are unavailable.
Nurse managers
We know that having a strong, ongoing relationship with our clients is key.
A designated Nurse Manager, based no more than 45 minutes from their clients, ensures that care plans and risk assessments are up to date and that training needs are met.
With manageable caseloads, our nurse managers have the time to effectively support every client and their team.
