Sussex has a variety of community organisations and groups designed to help people build connections, take part in activities, and feel supported in their local area.
Below are eight ongoing resources you can use now, with detailed descriptions and direct links.
1. Outreach 3Way – Inclusive Community Activities and Workshops
Outreach 3Way supports people with learning disabilities and autism across East and West Sussex. They run a range of day activities, creative workshops, social groups, sensory sessions and sports/leisure activities, helping participants build social connections, learn new skills and take part in community life. They also operate a community hub and timetable of ongoing groups that are active throughout the year.
2. Amazing Futures – Inclusive Youth Groups for Ages 14–25
Amazing Futures runs welcoming and accessible youth groups for young people with additional needs, disabilities, autism and learning differences in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. These groups focus on social connection, games, creative activities, wellbeing activities and themed meetups, giving young people opportunities to meet others, find support and try new experiences together.
3. Inspire Sussex – Social Hub and Community Activities
Inspire Sussex is a long‑established charity supporting adults with learning disabilities. Their Social Hub provides a friendly environment where adults can take part in weekly activities designed to encourage connection, confidence‑building and social engagement. People attending the hub can explore creative projects, social events, and group sessions tailored to their interests and abilities.
4. East Sussex Vision Support – Social Groups and Wellbeing Activities
East Sussex Vision Support (ESVS) is a charity that helps adults who are blind or partially sighted. 5. Possability People – Get Involved Groups and Peer Support

6. Sussex Disability Sports Network – Inclusive Activity Connections
The Sussex Disability Sports Network helps connect people with disabilities and long‑term conditions to inclusive sport and physical activity opportunities across the region. By joining the network or signing up for newsletters, you can receive updates on local inclusive sports events, support forums and community activity opportunities that promote social engagement through physical activity.
7. Active Sussex – Inclusive Activities, Events and Connection Opportunities
Active Sussex works with partners across the county to make physical activity and community events more inclusive. While they don’t run all groups themselves, they help raise awareness of inclusive activity opportunities, local events and community programmes that bring people together and improve wellbeing through sport and shared interests. Subscribing to their news or activity finder can help you find ongoing groups near you.
8. Amaze Sussex – Family Support and Local Events
Amaze supports families with disabled children and young people in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. In addition to advice and information services, they run social events, youth clubs, holiday schemes and community meetups that give families and young people chances to connect with others, build friendships and join supportive local activities.
