Care Certificate Training

The Care Certificate is a nationally recognised induction programme for staff working in health and social care.

This course:

• Covers all 16 Care Certificate standards
• Combines eLearning with practical assessment
• Provides structured workbooks and competency records

Duration: 2 days (1 day eLearning, 1 day practical)
CPD: 12.5 hours

Safer People Handling

This course provides essential knowledge and practical skills for safe moving and handling in care settings.

Learners will:

• Understand safe handling principles
• Carry out risk assessments using T.I.L.E.E.O.
• Use equipment safely, including hoists and slings
• Apply correct techniques in real scenarios

Duration: Half day
CPD: 3.5 hours

Basic Life Support Training

This session equips staff with core first aid and emergency response skills.

Topics include:

• CPR using D.R.S.A.B.C.
• Recovery position
• Managing choking, bleeding, and shock

Medication Administration Workshop

A practical course focused on safe medication handling and administration.

Learners will:

• Apply the 7 Rights of Medication
• Complete MAR charts correctly
• Understand different administration methods
• Recognise and respond to errors

Safeguarding Adults and Children – Level 2

This course supports staff to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns.

It covers:

• Types of abuse and warning signs
• Reporting procedures
• Legal responsibilities, including the Care Act
• Professional boundaries

Duration: Half day
CPD: 3.5 hours

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

An evidence-based approach to supporting individuals whose behaviour may challenge.

Learners will:

• Understand causes of behaviour
• Apply preventative strategies
• Promote person-centred care
• Use reflective practice

Clinical Skills Training Courses

Tracheostomy Awareness Training

This course is designed for professionals supporting individuals with a tracheostomy.

It includes:

• Respiratory anatomy and physiology
• Types of tracheostomy tubes
• Suction techniques and routine care
• Emergency response procedures
• Simulated practical scenarios

Duration: 1 day
CPD: 6.5 hours

Ventilation and Cough Assist Awareness

A course focused on supporting individuals requiring ventilatory support.

Learners will:

• Understand invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Carry out safety checks
• Troubleshoot alarms
• Use cough assist devices safely

Duration: Half day
CPD: 3.5 hours

Enteral Feeding Training

This course provides skills for supporting individuals with gastrostomy or jejunostomy feeding.

It covers:

• Types of feeding tubes
• Feeding methods (bolus, pump, gravity)
• Infection control
• Managing complications

Duration: Half day
CPD: 3.5 hours

Epilepsy Awareness and Rescue Medication

Designed for staff supporting individuals with epilepsy.

Learners will:

• Recognise seizure types
• Provide first aid during seizures
• Administer Buccal Midazolam
• Understand legal and safety considerations

Duration: 1 day
CPD: 6.5 hours

Spinal Injury and Brain Injury Awareness

This course supports staff working with individuals with complex neurological conditions.

Topics include:

• Spinal cord and brain function
• Autonomic Dysreflexia
• Catheter care and infection control
• Emotional and behavioural support

Duration: Half day
CPD: 3.5 hours
