We are recruiting a Complex Support Worker to support a young man with Dravet syndrome, epilepsy, a learning disability, autism and osteoporosis.
Our client enjoys a range of activities, especially 1990s TV shows, darts and snooker. You must be a confident driver, as you will be driving a mobility vehicle on country lanes and motorways for long periods of time, and hold a full UK driving licence.
We are looking for someone proactive, sociable and attentive who can keep him engaged and stimulated throughout the day to support his social, emotional and physical wellbeing. Strong epilepsy and seizure management experience is essential, along with experience supporting people with learning disabilities to engage in a wide range of opportunities.
He is a full-time wheelchair user and, due to his osteoporosis and dislocated hip, is physically fragile and requires a high level of care and awareness when providing support.

- To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.
- To be an advocate for the client, working in their best interest and in accordance with Superior Healthcare's policies and procedures.
- To be calm, friendly and engaging with the client around their interests and hobbies.
- To closely observe and monitor the client and keep thorough documentation.
