About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Consultant / Relationship Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in complex care, supported living, or live-in care services to play a key role in driving business growth across the South of England.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across both the public and private healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business growth strategies within the complex care sector, with a particular focus on supported living services and local authority-funded care packages.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, healthcare providers, and other relevant organisations.
  • Develop and nurture relationships within the private sector, including Case Managers, Occupational Therapists, Financial Deputies, Personal Injury Solicitors, and Expert Witnesses.
  • Collaborate closely with operational, legal, finance, and clinical teams to ensure the successful mobilisation and delivery of newly secured care packages.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the healthcare and complex care landscape, including regulatory requirements, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to develop and execute targeted campaigns and business development initiatives.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and networking opportunities nationwide.
  • Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, providing accurate forecasting and reporting on business development activity.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in business development and relationship management.
  • A demonstrable track record of developing, negotiating, and closing contracts and partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare sector, including commissioning processes, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to build credibility and influence at all levels across public and private sector organisations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalising on growth opportunities.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
