Join Our Team as a Complex Care Assistant in Frant!

We are currently seeking a Care Assistant with weekend availability to assist our young client with complex care needs living in their family home in Frant.

We are committed to your success and will provide comprehensive, paid clinical training to ensure you’re equipped to meet our client’s needs confidently.

Our experienced team of Nurses and Field Care Supervisors will offer continuous support and guidance as you grow in your role.

The Client:

Our client is a 10-year-old child who loves music, dancing and humming to songs, especially songs that involve Makaton as the client has hearing difficulties. They love hearing stories and playing with toys.

This role will include clinical intervention such as PEG feed management, oral suctioning, emergency airway maintenance, catheter care and the use of nebulisers.

Shift Pattern: 

We offer both full-time and part-time positions, with a minimum commitment of two shifts per week.

  • Type: Day shifts
  • Hours: Saturdays 12:00 – 20:00, Sundays 09:00 – 20:00

Additional shifts are available in the local area for those with flexible availability and a willingness to travel.

Requirements
  • To closely observe and monitor the client for any clinical intervention required.
  • To be fun, friendly and engaging with the client around their interests and hobbies..
  • To be an advocate for the client, working in their best interest and in accordance with Superior Healthcare's policies and procedures.
  • To show the client dignity and respect when providing personal care to the client.
  • To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.
  • 6 months paid UK based care experience.
  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker with complex care clients.
  • Flexibility to offer availability at short notice, including weekend shifts.
  • A full UK drivers licence with access to your own vehicle.
  • To be confident working with children, with the ability to make shifts fun and engaging.
