Care Assistant – Complex Care (Community Role)
Location: Dover
Pay Rate: £14 – £16 per hour (plus holiday pay entitlement)
Shifts: Day – Friday, Saturday or Sundays – 08:00 – 20:00
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Carer join our community-based team supporting an adult client with complex health needs in Dover. This is a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality clinical care while enabling the client to live a more independent and fulfilling life
The Role
As a Healthcare Assistant in our Complex Care Team, you will provide high-quality, hands-on bedside care to a client with complex clinical and personal care needs. You will work long-term with one client, allowing you to build strong, consistent relationships and deliver truly person-centred care.
About the Client
Our client is a young adult who lives at home with her Parents and 3 older Siblings. She enjoys cooking, arts and crafts, and socialising with friends. She loves fun days out and spending time caring for her three dogs, chickens and horse. An interest in cooking, creativity and a genuine love of animals is essential, as animals are a big part of her daily life.
The Clients Medical Needs Include:
- Tracheobronchomalacia (unstable airways)
- Cerebral Palsy
- Deep brain stimulator in situ
- Dystonia
- PEG feeding
- Oxygen therapy (nasal cannulas/mask as required)
- Bipap ventilation
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GRD)
- Scoliosis
- Scaffold airway
- Non-verbal communication (eye gaze during the day, charts at night
You will work closely alongside a Registered Nurse, receiving ongoing clinical guidance, supervision and support. Our nurses provide regular assessments, training and oversight to ensure safe, effective care delivery at all times
