At Superior Healthcare, we support children, young people, and adults with complex health needs to live safely and happily at home.

We’re now looking for a Children’s Complex Care Assistant to support a 10‑year‑old boy living in his family home in Frant.

The client is a bright and joyful child who loves music, dancing, humming songs, and using Makaton. He enjoys stories, playing with toys, and is learning to use his power chair and trike. You’ll be supporting him in a warm, welcoming family environment, including attending church with the family on Sundays.

About the Role

You’ll provide dedicated one‑to‑one support, helping the client thrive at home while ensuring his clinical needs are safely met. Your responsibilities will include:

• Oral suctioning (support with secretion management)
• PEG care for medications and feeds
• Administering medication
• Nebuliser support
• Intermittent catheterisation
• Monitoring respiratory health and recognising signs of distress (e.g. stridor)
• Providing emergency airway support, including oxygen administration and medications such as Dexamethasone
• Supporting with hearing aids
• Manual handling
• Engaging in play, music, and communication through Makaton

This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, attentive, and confident supporting children with complex clinical needs.

🕒 Shifts

• Monday & Wednesday: 14:30 – 20:30
• Saturday: 12:00 – 20:00
• Sunday: 09:00 – 20:00

Additional shifts may be available locally for those seeking more hours.

• Previous experience involving personal care
• Experience with complex clinical care (PEG, suction, respiratory support)
• Female applicants only (client preference)
• Drivers preferred but not essential
• UK-based applicants only (we cannot offer visa sponsorship)
