Description

Do you have experience supporting individuals with developmental delays or delayed emotional processing? Are you energetic, creative, and passionate about making a real difference?

Superior Healthcare is recruiting dedicated Support Workers to join a specialist care package supporting a young man living in Faversham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being active, engaging, and helping individuals thrive in a fun and supportive environment.

About the Client

Our client is a young man who lives at home and has diagnoses including:

  • Dravet Syndrome
  • Osteoporosis
  • Postural scoliosis (with corrective surgery)
  • Developmental delays

He has a fantastic sense of humour and enjoys a wide range of activities, including:

  • Gardening
  • Football
  • Walking
  • Watching The Wiggles and CBeebies
  • Role play
  • Fire engines
  • Reading and writing
  • Puzzles and games
  • Playing with toys and imaginative activities

To provide the best possible support, we are particularly interested in applicants with experience working in day care settings, schools, paediatric care, or supporting individuals with delayed emotional processing, enabling them to help the client develop self-regulation skills and enjoy meaningful daily activities.

About the Role

This is a highly rewarding position where no two days are the same. Successful applicants will be enthusiastic, imaginative, and willing to actively participate in the client’s hobbies and interests while delivering person-centred support.

Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy, post-surgical needs, learning disabilities, or behaviours of concern is desirable; however, full training and ongoing clinical support will be provided.

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:

✅ Caring, patient, and compassionate
✅ Fun, energetic, and creative with a good imagination
✅ Calm, resilient, and able to remain composed in challenging situations
✅ Experienced in supporting individuals who display behaviours that challenge
✅ Confident in using positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniques
✅ Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering outstanding person-centred care
✅ An excellent communicator who works well as part of a multidisciplinary team

If you’re looking for a rewarding role where your creativity, enthusiasm, and compassion can truly change someone’s life, we’d love to hear from you.

  • To provide complex care interventions such as medication management and epilepsy management.
  • To confidently and clearly communicate with the client and using aids where necessary.
  • To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.
  • To be an advocate for the client, working in their best interest and in accordance with Superior Healthcare's policies and procedures.
