Complex Live in Support Worker

About the Role

Superior Healthcare is recruiting a Live‑in Healthcare Support Worker to support a lady with bariatric care needs and a spinal injury in her own home in Denmead.

The client also has neurological bowel needs and requires a hoist for all transfers and safe repositioning. She is very independent and values carers who actively protect her choice, dignity, and control at all times.

This role would suit a calm, respectful, and capable carer who supports independence and works collaboratively with the client.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing safe, dignified personal care
• Hoisting for all transfers and safe repositioning
• Supporting neurological bowel management (full training provided)
• Promoting independence and respecting choice and control
• Supporting safe access to the kitchen
• Encouraging and enabling participation in meal preparation where appropriate
• Building a positive, consistent, and trusting working relationship

Shift Pattern

• Live‑in role
• 1 week on / 1 week off

Pay

• £1,400 per week

Requirements

• Driver essential
• Previous experience in a care or support role preferred
• Experience with bariatric care, spinal injury, or complex needs advantageous
• Confident using hoisting equipment (training provided)
• Respectful, patient, and person‑centred approach

Checks Required

• Enhanced DBS check
• Three years’ continuous referencing
