Description

Rehabilitation Assistant – Be Part of Someone’s Fresh Start
We are looking for motivated, engaging Rehabilitation Assistants to support a young person as they begin the next chapter of their life following significant health challenges.
This is not a traditional care role. This is an opportunity to be part of a rebuilding journey — helping someone regain independence, confidence, and purpose.
We welcome applications from students or graduates in fields such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology or related disciplines who are looking for meaningful, hands-on experience in rehabilitation.

About the Role
You will work as part of a small, dedicated team supporting in their daily routine, rehabilitation programme, and community reintegration. The focus is on progress, independence-building, and quality of life rather than just care delivery.
This role requires individuals who are confident, engaging, and able to build a genuine connection — The client responds best to people with personality, humour, and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Prompting and supervising daily living activities
• Supporting and encouraging personal hygiene and self-care (with a view to increasing independence over time)
• Supervising and supporting during meals, including safe swallowing and eating
• Assisting with rehabilitation activities and therapy programmes
• Supporting safe community access and meaningful activities
• Balancing risk management with independence-building

Rehabilitation-Focused Approach
This role forms part of a broader rehabilitation-led model, which includes:
• Therapy carryover and structured rehabilitation input
• Skill redevelopment linked to the persons interests and previous lifestyle.
• Community engagement and meaningful activity
• Ongoing neuropsychological oversight
• A collaborative team approach that prioritises both safety and progress
We are looking for individuals who understand that rehabilitation is about potential, not limitation.

About You
• Engaging, personable, and confident
• Able to motivate and encourage others.
• Interested in rehabilitation, psychology, or healthcare.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
• Strong character with a proactive and positive mindset
• Non-smoker (essential requirement)

Why This Role is Different
This is not just about providing care — it’s about:
• Helping someone rebuild their independence.
• Being part of a forward-thinking rehabilitation model
• Gaining valuable, hands-on experience for a career in healthcare or therapy
• Making a genuine, visible difference in someone’s life.

If you are looking for a role that is rewarding, meaningful, and genuinely impactful, we would love to hear from you.
