About the Role

Superior Healthcare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Female Healthcare Assistant to join our team, providing one-to-one care for a child with complex health needs in their home. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and supporting emotional well-being.

Comprehensive in-house training and induction will be provided by our Nurse Manager to ensure you are fully equipped with the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional care.

About Our Client

Our client is a young child living with complex medical needs, including:

  • Pallister-Killian syndrome with epilepsy and autonomic dysfunction
  • Scoliosis, reflux, vomiting, and visual impairment

Clinical support requirements include:

  • Following an advanced care plan regarding resuscitation
  • Monitoring oxygen saturation and heart rate
  • Managing oral secretions with suctioning
  • Administering nebulised/oral medications and buccal midazolam for seizures
  • Caring for PEG-J tube (jejunal feeding and drainage)
  • Using hoisting and postural management equipment for safe transfers
  • Supporting personal care and monitoring skin integrity

Shift Pattern

  • Wednesday nights: 22:00 – 07:00

Pay & Benefits

  • ÂŁ15–£17 per hour

Candidate Preferences

Our client prefers someone who is:

  • Female
  • Experienced in paediatric complex care
  • Knowledgeable in infection control, scoliosis, oxygen therapy, enteral feeding, epilepsy, and visual impairment
  • A clear communicator and empathetic caregiver

  • Deliver safe, high-quality complex care in the client’s home
  • Monitor vital signs and respond to changes promptly
  • Administer medications and manage PEG-J feeding
  • Support emotional well-being and comfort
  • Work collaboratively with the family and multidisciplinary team
