What does a complex care assistant do?

Being a complex care assistant is rewarding and fulfilling, and you’ll cover a wide range of tasks. Throughout, our nurse managers and field care supervisors will ensure you have the knowledge and skills to provide safe, effective care.

Comprehensive training included

As a new member of our complex care team, you’ll receive excellent training from our clinical educators, both in-person and online – and we’ll pay you for those hours, too.

Your initial training will be a five-day induction, offering you a chance to enhance and refresh your skills and meet other support workers, complex care assistants and registered nurses.

If a client’s needs require additional skills, such as tracheostomy care, airway management, or enteral feeding, we offer paid specialist training to enhance your skills further.

You’ll be thoroughly supported after your training, and we’ll offer you the chance to enrol in Level 2 to 5 Diplomas in Health and Social Care.
